The Joint Initiative (2016-2019) was coordinated by our member Roma Active Albania. It set up a supporting structure for (pro) Roma civil society to actively participate in local and national policy and decision making process.

The transparency and accountability criteria, developed in 2018, give recommendations on how grassroots civil society organisations should be governed and managed in order to be reliable and accountable. The set of criteria focuses on governance, financial management and performance.

ERGO Summer Academy

In 2016 and 2017 we invited young Roma activists to spend a week together in a relaxing and inspiring environment to share their knowledge, develop creative ideas, strengthen their leadership skills and boost their motivation as activists.

Grassroots Advocacy Academy

The project, funded by the International Visegrad Fund in 2019, achieved a better understanding of the challenges of Roma rights advocates and led to the implementation of more effective capacity-building approaches to support grassroots activists in Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

Wall-free Europe

In 2014, ERGO launched its Wall Free Europe! Campaign, asking for the removal of walls and raising awareness of increasing antigypsyist and racist sentiments in Europe, which create walls in the heads of the people.

COMMUNITY-LED LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FOR ROMA INCLUSION

Community-led local development (CLLD) with Roma is the project which ran in the 5 countries with the highest population of Roma people –the three Visegrad countries Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic together with Romania and Bulgaria.
