ERGO Network Response to the Spring Package 2024: European Commission Releases Spring Package – What’s in it for Europe’s Roma?

Roma get mentioned in slightly more Country Reports in 2024, but only Slovakia's Country-Specific Recommendations actually name them, and antigypsyism appears nowhere across all 27 that's the core critique in ERGO Network's review of the 2024 Spring Package. It argues the few references that exist are narrowly framed around labour shortages rather than a rights-based approach, and calls for the Roma to be explicitly named and civil society properly involved if EU funds are to actually reach them.
